PROGRAM DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Center Lake Bible Camp is in the northern portion of the Lower Peninsula in Michigan, approximately 90 miles north of Grand Rapids. We sit on 120 beautiful acres with several hundred feet of waterfront on Center Lake, a spring-fed lake with just a few homes and another camp. CLBC is open year-round with programs for all ages. We provide 9 weeks of summer camp, rental groups, retreat groups, and many other types of visitors who use our facilities throughout the year. Summer is warm, fall and spring are beautiful, and winter is snowy and perfect for outdoor activities.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
• Working with the team to develop a summer theme and then design activities, cooperatives, and initiatives that reinforce the theme to help others encounter God.
• Inventory and maintain all activity, sporting, and High Adventure equipment.
• Facilitate all high adventure activities at CLBC including waterfront, ropes course, bouldering wall, climbing tower, paintball, and zip line.
• Serve the Camp by joining with the rest of the staff in the development of year-round programs.
• Help the rest of the staff clean up the Camp after every use throughout the year (summer, fall retreats, winter retreats, etc.).
• Help the rest of the staff provide quality experience to all campers and their families during their entire time here at the Camp by doing various activities (i.e. dishwashing, food prep, housekeeping, etc.).

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
• A dedicated born-again Christian.
• A person committed to growing in their faith.
• Self-disciplined, reliable, and unwavering commitment to safety.
• Ability to handle all physical aspects of the job.
• Current Red Cross/American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Certifications.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS
• Valid Driver’s License, vehicle, and insurance.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Team Player.
• Leader and ability to train others to help accomplish needed job requirements.

EDUCATION
• B.S., B.A., A.A., or other certification preferred.

PAY
• On-site housing available
• Cell phone allowance
• Bi-weekly pay
