Activities Apprentice

As the Activities Apprentice you will assist in the management of the Flint Valley Challenge Course, and gain experience in other areas of New Life Ranch activities. You'll gain experience in facilitation, teaching activity classes, course inspection and maintenance, staff recruitment, supervision, and training, as well as budgeting, planning, and team dynamics. You'll be a part of the Guest Services team, seeing how camp ministry runs, and how activities are a vital part of the mission of New Life Ranch.

The objective of the Activities Apprenticeship is to allow you to experience and contribute to the full breadth and depth of the activities program area, providing you with knowledge, experience and tools to give you a foundation for further work in this field.

About You:
-You posses, or are willing to complete, ACCT Level 1 Challenge Course facilitation.
-You respect the risk that comes along with a challenge course, and will diligently uphold and enforce risk management protocols.
-You can facilitate a group through challenging scenarios with an outcome of learning (preferred but can be trained on the job).
-You take initiative in your work, and set goals to track your progress.
-You are comfortable managing and coaching direct reports in projects and their development.
-You exhibit Christlike character and professionalism through interactions on the phone and in person.
