Camp Counselor- Day Camp

Contract Dates: June 2nd - August 11th
General Responsibility: Oversee the safety and well-being of day campers (ages 6-9) and facilitate camp activities under supervision of Leadership Staff.

Desired Qualifications:
At least 16 years of age
Desire to share the love of Christ with others
Willing to accept responsibility
Ability to participate and pass lifeguard certification, and ropes course certification Prior experience working with young children

Specific Responsibilities:
Teach from the Bible to campers when appropriate whether in the cabin or at activities.
Ensure campers are ready and on time for their activities.
Clearly communicate activity rules to campers.
Directly supervise campers during all activities.
Assist with the daily operations of camp as needed
Teaching day campers at their level
Helping ensure day campers are having fun and staying safe

Essential Functions:
Be able to identify hazards and respond appropriately.
Be able to work and communicate well with a variety of age groups.
Be able to handle long and sometimes stressful days.
