Cedar Springs Camp is an amazing place for individuals seeking to deepen their walk with God, build meaningful relationships, enjoy a refreshing escape, and have a ton of fun! Nestled in the beautiful woods of North Eastern Iowa just a couple hours from the Twin Cities, bordered by the Cedar River, our camp offers comfortable lodging, purposeful meeting areas, delicious food, and a range of exciting activities. From river tubing and canoeing to paintball, waterslides to winter tubing, skeet shooting to hayrides, Cedar Springs Camp provides an unforgettable experience for groups of 5 to 160.

Job Description: Camp Director- Full Time/Year Round

Anticipated Start Date: March 2024

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Oversight:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of Cedar Springs Camp.
• Provide leadership to all personnel, ensuring alignment with the camp's mission and values.
• Maintain consistent policies, processes, and programming adhering to the mission of CSC.

Facility Management:
• Manage and maintain all camp facilities to high standards.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for guests.
• Oversee any necessary repairs or improvements.

Program Development:
• Innovate and develop programs that align with the vision and mission of Cedar Springs Camp.
• Enhance the overall experience for campers through creative and impactful activities.

Personnel Management:
• Recruit, train, and lead a dynamic team.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work culture.
• Lead by example, actively participating in day-to-day operations.

Guest Relations:
• Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, ensuring their needs are met.
• Seek feedback to continuously improve the camp experience.

Qualifications:

Experience:
• Experience in camp management or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with Christian residential camp and retreat environments.

Skills:
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and management skills.
• Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and remain flexible in a dynamic environment.
• Hands-on approach to operations.

Leadership:
• Ability to attract and develop exceptional personnel.
• Visionary leadership with a commitment to the camp's mission.

Cedar Springs Camp is currently a three season camp with the current vision to grow and develop our usage and ministry of spring/summer/fall during the fourth season. This is a full time/year round position.

During the fourth season, this position will:

-work to grow and develop the usage and ministry of the spring/summer/fall months
-develop and foster relationships with key constituents, donors, current and potential guest groups
-grow and develop our program offerings for spring/summer/fall
-work on projects as needed to better our facilities and prepare for guest usage during spring/summer/fall
-miscellaneous needs to further the mission and ministry of CSC
