Groundskeeper

Waukaway Springs Christian Retreat Center is seeking a professing Christian individual to further the ministry filling the position of Groundskeeper. This individual must agree with and work under the mission, vision, values, and statement of faith, as defined on our website, waukawaysprings.com.

The goal of this position is to maintain and improve the general appearance and beauty of Waukaway Springs Christian Retreat Center through landscaping, general upkeep of the grounds, and helping out where needed. This position may require work in all elements including, but not limited to, rain, snow, extreme heat, or cold.

Job Description

The desired applicant is safety oriented with the ability to learn and teach. An individual who is organized, timely, and responsive. Has the ability to work alone and within a team.
Responsibilities will include :

- Keep the grounds clear and clean of trash, tree limbs, sticks, and any other garbage
- Mow and trim small and large areas of grass
- Operate weed wacker, sprayer, and other tools
- Prune and shape shrubs and trees
- Weeds, plants, and prepares fields for use in accordance with specifications
- Maintains flower beds and mulch areas.
- Performs minor repairs and preventive routine maintenance on equipment, tools, and vehicles as needed or in cooperation with Maintenance Technician
- Maintain all trails free of obstruction from fallen leaves, sticks, or limbs

Time:  Part-Time Year Round
