Marketing and Communications Manager

The Marketing and Communications Manager works collaboratively with internal personnel and external consultants to develop, communicate and implement comprehensive marketing strategy. The position manages the organization's brand communication and oversight of: websites, advertising, signage, social media, publications and other forms of communication.


Responsibilities:

Develop and direct a successful marketing plan to project the organization's 5 year growth
Provide direction, consultation and support for internal staff and outside consulting firms
Oversee key communications- social media, website design, newsletters, branding, advertising, etc.
Research and quantify industry trends and develop tactics to grow organization
Monitor and report the effectiveness of the marketing plan and budget
Report monthly results of activities, strategies and results
Collaborate with Advancement department regarding support of donor development
Collaborate with Human Resources department on staff recruitment efforts
Travel in Indiana and Michigan to serve as a representative and promoter


Requirements
Basic requirements

Commitment to the mission and ministry of the organization
3 years of marketing experience
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
Preferred requirements

Able to work effectively within a team environment
Capable of coordinating multiple projects and details
Capable of tactical planning and implementation within a marketing framework
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to use problem-solving skills and patience in performing job functions
A motivated self-starter
Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
