Horsemanship Intern- Year Long

Do you desire a career in running a horse program at a Christian camp? Do you love horses, children, and Jesus? Our equine focused internship at Miracle Ranch, Port Orchard, Washington, is for those with a desire to use their passion for horses as a way to share the love of Jesus with others.


* This is a twelve month, paid internship program, with the possibility of a second
year for qualified candidates.

Along with assisting in the management and care of our herd, you will gain experience in teaching both group and private riding lessons, leading trail rides and assisting in therapeutic riding sessions, both for those with disabilities and for at-risk youth. Opportunities to receive PATH teaching hours, or work towards CHA certification are available.

CRISTA Camps, set in the stunning forests of the Olympic Peninsula, brings fun and adventure to the young and young-at-heart. Miracle Ranch is an award-winning camp that welcomes guests with a one-of-a-kind experience, connecting them with nature through activities like swimming, archery, paintball, horses, dirt bikes and high ropes adventures.

- Previous horse experience is required.

At CRISTA Ministries we have a passion to develop young leaders. Our desire is to help you fulfill God's calling in your life, whether that is full time camping ministry, or some other vocational calling.

The 12 month paid CRISTA Camps intern program is designed for people who are deeply committed to Jesus Christ and desire to learn about creating and providing an environment where staff, volunteers, and guests can experience Christ.

2023/2024 applications are now accepted for our September 2nd start date!

We believe this will be a life-changing experience where each intern will grow spiritually, personally, relationally, and professionally! You will come away more energized, trained and prepared for a lifetime of service. This is an action-oriented vocational Internship, providing opportunities to develop servant leadership skills that will transfer to any future business, leadership or ministry opportunity.
