Information
Tucked on the edge of McLemore Cove at the base of Lookout Mountain, Camp New Dawn provides a pastoral/mountainous setting suitable for all ages. Six weeks of children and youth camps are held in the summer; facilities for retreats and other gatherings are available all year. We are small with a big family atmosphere. Capacity--in cabins-32; lots of tent space. Enjoy our fishing lake, pool, sports field, ga-ga pit, archery, team-building and outdoor ed opportunities and many historic sites in the area. We are set up to handle the following group sizes in the various seasons:
During the summer, we can take care of up to 32 guests. In the spring, we can accommodate 32 guests. Our winter capacity is 32. Finally, in fall, we have enough room for 32 guests.
We also offer the following special activities and features:
Tent spaces and RV parking (no hookups) unlimited; in a bountiful outdoor area for hiking, caving, rock climbing, rappelling, rafting, canoeing, field. Staff trained to lead all activities or go on your own.
Field games, ga-ga pit, amphitheatre and fire ring. Fishing lake and creeks for wading. Pool nearby.
