Information

Since 1955, Camp Good News has ministered to children from across Illinois, exposing them to the gospel of Jesus Christ, and encouraging them to grow in their relationship with God. Because of Camp, thousands of kids have heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Each day here at Camp is packed with fun activities that are all integrated with Bible teaching throughout the day. Whether it's cooling down in the pool or creek, hitting the bullseye in Archery, BBs, Slingshots, or Blowguns, playing a crazy game of Gaga Ball, hiking through the woods, getting lost on our Compass Course, climbing high in the are by crate stacking, competing in a game of Carpetball or 9-Square, building teamwork skills on our Ropes Course, dodging foam-tipped arrows in a round of Archery Tag, discovering new information about one of our critters or nature in our Outdoor Education Program, learning the art of Tomahawk or Atlatl throwing, bouncing into each other while wearing a Zorb ball, or soaring 100 feet in the air across the Zipline, children and adults learn about the God of the Bible and His Message for us!

God uses this ministry in marvelous ways! In recent years, the ministry has grown from primarily a summer camp to a year-round ministry. We now have lots of different retreats available that include Archery Club, Zorb Sports League, His Princess Mother/Daughter Retreat, Raising a Modern Day Knight Father/Son Retreat, Ladies Crafting Retreat, Disciple Retreat or even host your own retreat here!

Today, more than ever, people need to unplug from the non-stop, always connected pace of life and take a moment to be still and know that He is God. Camp Good News offers this opportunity in a safe, fun, Christ-centered program.

We are set up to handle the following group sizes in the various seasons:

During the summer, we can take care of up to 120 guests. In the spring, we can accommodate 72 guests. Our winter capacity is 72. Finally, in fall, we have enough room for 72 guests.
