About Duffy Robbins

Dr. Duffy Robbins, Professor of Youth Ministry at Eastern University, St. Davids, Pa., is a 35-year veteran of youth ministry who is widely respected as one of the leading voices in youth and family ministry. But his ministry goes well beyond that.

He’s in constant demand as a speaker for teenagers and people who love teenagers (parents, youth workers, etc). But his warm, conversational style, coupled with a quick sense of humor and a unique ability to make Scripture come alive, have made him a popular speaker as well for Bible conferences, parenting seminars, faculty workshops, college chapels, men’s retreats and family camps and conferences.

His ministry has given him platforms as diverse as Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association (New Jersey), the Chautauqua Institute (New York), Forest Home Family Camp (California), the Creation Festival (Pennsylvania and Washington), Covenant Harbor Conference Center (Wisconsin), Camp Berea “Man Camp” (New Hampshire), the Presidential Prayer Breakfast (Washington, D.C.), Christian Camp and Conference Association National Conference and hundreds of pulpits and college campuses around the world. His international ministry has ranged from youth conventions, men’s retreats and training conferences in Australia, New Zealand, throughout Europe, parts of Asia and all over North America and the Caribbean. His long association with Youth Specialties has allowed him to touch the lives and ministries of thousands of youth workers and teenagers around the world.

Duffy graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass., and completed his Doctor of Ministry in Youth and Family Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif.

Duffy is the author of over 15 books and hundreds of articles. About Walt Mueller

Dr. Walt Mueller is the founder and president of the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding, a nonprofit organization serving schools, churches and community organizations across the U.S, Canada and worldwide in their efforts to strengthen families by helping those who know and love children and teens to understand today’s rapidly changing youth culture.

Walt has been working with young people and families for over 35 years. He has appeared on numerous media outlets internationally to discuss teenagers and their world. He writes on youth culture and family issues and is the author of nine books, is a regular contributor to a variety of magazines and journals and is a blogger. Walt’s commentary and analysis on youth culture is heard on 870 radio stations across North America on CPYU’s daily radio program, Youth Culture Today.

Walt’s educational background includes research and studies in the disciplines of sociology, anthropology, theology and postmodern generations.

Walt and his wife, Lisa, live in Elizabethtown, Pa.—the home base of CPYU—and they have four grown children and brand new twin grandchildren.

Walt wants people to know that his greatest joys have come as a dad. He is not an expert on any of these issues but rather sees himself as a fellow struggler with other parents and grandparents who are endeavoring to understand the world of kids in order to provide solid guidance and direction in the midst of a very confusing world.

GROW MORE BY MAKING PANORAMA A PRIORITY FOR YOU AND YOUR STAFF

We’ve asked, and camping professionals weighed in with their thoughts about CCCA’s National Conference.

Laura Edwards, Camp Dixie

“Everybody needs a chance to step back from their personal ministry, to enjoy some time away, to receive excellent training and spiritual encouragement, and to meet others who are working hard in the world of Christian camping. The national conference is a great opportunity to do all of that and so much more!”

Ken Beebe, Twin Rocks Friends Camp and Conference Center

“The national conference provides a great boost to me…I always come home energized by my connections with other camp directors from around the country who are engaging in similar work to me. The workshops invariably provide me with insights about how I can improve the effectiveness of my camp ministry.”

Jenna Reycraft, Camp Shaminau

“It is an excellent way to connect with others in camping, get refreshed and be reminded of why we do what we do.”

Stan Coker, Cumberland Youth Camp

“This is the best single investment you can make in your own spiritual health, networking with peers and growing in your knowledge base related to camp ministry at the same time.”
