Resident Program & O.E. Team Member
Black Rock Retreat is looking to build a team of individuals who have a passion for working with youth to teach in our Outdoor Education program, run programming for retreat groups and serve in other areas of camp. We are currently looking for qualified individuals for the Fall 2018 season.
Experience and/or background in youth ministry or education is preferred, however, the most important requirement is the desire to impact the lives of young people by sharing the love and gospel of Jesus Christ.
Most of our fall programs bring 5th-8th grade students from Christian schools to Black Rock for three days of general science and/or environmental education classes and/or a challenge ropes course experience. As students look at creation, they come to learn more about their Creator. Instructors teach classes, facilitate the ropes course, run games, lead hikes, and share during devotion times. It is a great opportunity to impact the lives of young people by teaching about God as Creator and Lord of all. Instructors also lead OE programs for homeschool and public school students.
Program Staff work as instructors, ropes course facilitators, housekeeping, guest services, maintenance and lifeguards work a full 45+ hrs/week and are paid a competitive daily salary. Housing is available for single individuals. We are looking for staff to start August 2018.
Hiring is currently underway. All applications will be considered until positions are filled.
