Program Facilitator

Nestled in the heart of the California Redwoods, Alliance Redwoods Camp & Conference Grounds hosts thousands of guests each summer through church & non-profit retreats. We are currently hiring Program Facilitator for our Program team,

Purpose Statement

To facilitate program activities throughout the year, and to instruct 5th - 8th grade students, fostering a learning environment in the outdoors, allowing students and guests to have new experiences and opportunity for growth.

Support other ARCG teams as we strive together to serve the needs of ARCG guests.

Description of Duties

Training provided
Facilitate Challenge Course, Nature Hike, Rec Activity, and Lifeguard programs.
Instruct 5th - 8thth grade students, during the late spring and early Fall Season, in nature and ecology classes.
Participate in Christian Outdoor Education programmed chapel times.
Serve other departments as needed, including Accommodations/Housekeeping, Guest Services and Sonoma Zipline Adventures
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Fluent in English
Team player, flexible and servant’s attitude
Self-disciplined, reliable, and punctual
Commitment to safety
Ability to handle crisis events and stressful situations, working under authority
Teaching or group facilitation experience
Physically fit to meet the demands of hiking trails, facilitating challenge courses and rec activities
Ability to work at heights of over 25 feet.
Communication skills including phone etiquette and basic computer skills

Christian actively living a Biblical lifestyle and have an interest in maturing in one’s faith
Be in harmony with ARCG statement of faith and code of conduct
Must pass Background Check
Completion/pursuing 4-year degree or equivalent experience in a related field (Recreation, Education, Youth Camping Management).
Experience in teaching, camps or youth work preferred
CPR and First Aid Certified, Lifeguard Certified preferred
Job Type: Temporary / Seasonal, from April 1st through November 24th, 2024.

Compensation: Salaried, $540.00/week, which includes housing at no additional cost
