Why work at Krislund Camp and Retreat Center:

Krislund is a vibrant year-round Christ centered ministry that touches the lives of children and adults, enabling each to meet or enhance their relationship to Jesus Christ. Krislund's goal is to provide facilities and hospitality as well as leadership for summer youth programs and fall and winter retreat groups. The goal stems from the faith-based desire to assist young people as they grow spiritually and mature in self-awareness and leadership skills. Further, as Krislund staff host and/or lead weekend and mid-week retreats, they strive to reflect Christian values of acceptance, hospitality, and generosity. Situated on 860 acres of mountain land and rolling hills, Krislund began in 1963 as a ministry to provide summer outdoor and adventure camping experiences. Krislund has built upon this foundation so that in 2017 the ministry reached over 1600 youngsters in summer resident overnight camps, resident day camps, travel day camps and community camps. Krislund has many partners including churches, community leaders and specialists such as environmental advocates and skilled hobbyists. Krislund has developed premier adventure courses and lodging facilities to welcome over 125 groups comprising nearly 2,800 persons for retreats and programs Campers and retreat groups come from throughout the region as far south as the Maryland border and north to the New York border. Capacity for summer activities is in excess of 300 with winterized (AC/Heat) lodging for 190 persons. Lodging types range from very clean rustic cabins which include private baths, two double beds, and heat/AC, to medium sized and larger lodges. With a committed board of Directors, skilled staff and a large contingent of volunteers, Krislund is poised to grow into a future with great expectation
