AUDIO VISUAL & LIGHTING TECHNICIAN

The Audio Visual & Lighting (AVL) Technician at Eagle Sky of The Ozarks Christian Challenge Camps will be responsible for assisting the AVL Manager in setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment and lighting systems across various camp activities and events. This role requires a keen understanding of audiovisual technology and lighting setups and a strong willingness to learn and collaborate. The AVL Technician will report directly to the AVL Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: * Assist in the setup, testing, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment for presentations, worship services, performances, and camp events. * Collaborate with the AVL Manager and other team members to implement lighting designs that enhance the visual ambiance of indoor and outdoor venues. * Support camp staff, performers, and presenters in using audiovisual equipment effectively during their activities. * Ensure audiovisual equipment and lighting systems are properly functioning and promptly address technical issues during events. * Help maintain an organized inventory of audiovisual equipment, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and upkeep. * Assist in coordinating with external vendors or technicians to ensure specialized equipment availability and functionality. * Assist in training and supervising volunteers or assistants during events and setup operations. * Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in audiovisual technology and lighting design. * Contribute ideas and solutions to enhance the camp experience through innovative AVL setups. * Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on audiovisual and lighting equipment as needed. Qualifications: * Basic understanding of audiovisual equipment, lighting fixtures, and their setups. * Familiarity with audio mixing, video playback, and basic lighting control systems. * Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues. * Strong organizational skills to assist with equipment inventory and maintenance. * Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with camp staff and other technicians. * Willingness to learn and adapt to changing technical requirements. Education: * A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Relevant technical training or certifications are a plus.
