Summer Camp Job - Timber Challenge Associate

Serves as a recreation (Timber Challenge) instructor for departmental program offerings, including, but not limited to: Zipline, High Ropes, the Tower, and Archery.

Description
Facilitate program offerings, with safety being forefront.
Participate in all scheduled training.
Assist in the upkeep of the recreation (Timber Challenge) activity areas.
Make suggestions, as needed, to the recreation (Timber Challenge) Lead, regarding the operation of the activity areas.
Help make campers, staff, and guests feel welcomed.
Teach and show Christ's love to fellow staff and campers, in word and in deed.
Attend all meetings, both departmental and camp-wide.
Be involved in other camp activities as planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, as the schedule allows, mainly after dinner hours.
Assist in various responsibilities in order to facilitate Sunday camper drop- off and Saturday camper pick-up. .
Fulfill temporary assignments to other duties, including Cabin Leader, as needed.

Organizational

Demonstrates excellent work ethic and excels at providing quality guest experiences.
Has excellent communication skills and the ability to teach or lead others.

Positional
Chosen candidate required to live on-grounds in shared dorm style units (non-married).
Is able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Capable of reaching and touching items at a height of 84” off the ground.
Comfortable or demonstrated capability to work at various heights with attached protective gear (55ft or lower) above the ground.
Individuals in these positions must maintain a weight below a maximum climber’s weight of 265lbs.
Is able to physically traverse the multi-terrain grounds in all seasons, and work in outdoor environments in all seasons of the year.
Must be 18 years of age or older (21 preferred) and have a valid drivers license.
