Guest Services is seeking an individual that has the ability to stay organized, maintain workflow in the kitchen and prepare the structure of the Main Dining Hall. If you have an excellent work ethic, the ability to forecast potential hurdles and amazing communication skills, please read on.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Operation of the entire Main Dining Hall, which includes, but not limited to, cleanliness of guest-occupied areas, ownership of presentation of the building and staff, and overseeing and conducting all communication with vendors year-round, strategically. Mastermind and creator of Menus.

Job Purpose: To help bring Christ-like change in people’s lives by providing outstanding meals and excellent customer service.

Communication with Vendors

Inventory
Setting the cadence, rhythm, and atmosphere of the kitchen.
Continuous Improvement.
Move toward Digital Processes
Finding better tools to help stay organized.
Teaching/Equipping the team for success.
Research cooking techniques to better improve food taste/presentation/production.
Quickly adaptable.
Dining Hall Cleanliness
Dish Pit Procedure
Dry Storage
All HK
Ensure FIFO
FOH and BOH ownership
Communication between the two.
This also includes Service Team and Volunteers communication.
Dining Hall Ownership.
Walking the entire building, inside and outside perimeter daily.
Hiring and training FOH leads.
Excited about team development.

Assist in the design, costing, and implementation of recipe builds and food service procedures as designated by the Guest Service Director.
Communicates with other departments to ensure needs are being met.
Hold the team accountable for maintaining the Dining Hall’s overall health.
Stay current with current food trends.

Ability to lead in a positive and respectful way.

Strong sense of urgency and timeliness.
Highly organized with an eye for detail.
The ability to learn and grow in the Culinary field (Cooking techniques, taste profiles and stay current with food trends).
Must be proficient with Google Workspace as well as willing to learn additional software that Glorieta uses, such as Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, and Salesforce.
Excellent personal hygiene.

Work Context: This job is on-site at Glorieta, NM.
Travel: Minimal travel will be required for this job.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 60+ lbs, sit, stand, bend, squat, and be willing to get your hands dirty.
Work Environment: Most work will mostly be done indoors.
Training: Paid on-the-job training will be provided as well as attending training seminars when available.
Compensation: Full-time, hourly with housing and benefits.
Start Date: September 30th, 2023
Reports to the Guest Service Director.
