Position Title: Head Cook/Kitchen Manager
Department: Food Service
Type of Position: Full-time/ Part-time
Rate of Pay: Hourly $14-17
Job Overview: Responsible for the Management of the Kitchens that can serve meals in a timely manner while providing a positive work environment.
Responsibilities and Duties: -In charge of cooking meals, serving meals on time, and clean up after guests in the dining hall -Oversees the kitchen staff during an assigned shift to serve the group -Reports to Director and to Assistant Director of the food service department -Accountable for the meal quality, customer service, team leadership, and making sure meals are served on time to all the guests -Helps to create Christian environment for the kitchen staff and guests -Delegates, trains, and helps kitchen staff with tasks to facilitate meals and customer services -Helps unload and properly store food items from vendor deliveries -Weekends and evenings required -May need to work long hours during busy times -Works well under pressure, confidently can lead a team -Suggest improvements to customer service to higher management and staff -Implement new policies and procedures -Can adjust well to change including working in two kitchens
Qualifications: -Food Managers Certification Preferred (can be Acquired after hire)
Experience: -Minimum of 3-4 years food experience and 1 year in Kitchen Management -Cooking skills, Excellent Time Management -Familiar with customer service standards and practices.
Time: Full-Time Year Round
Salary: Paid
