Recruiter
**This position can be located in our Van, TX location or are office in Dallas, TX.
This position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow Christ. This position will develop and execute recruiting plans to support hiring managers across the organization, including job descriptions, sourcing, screening, and offers. The position will network with industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media and employees and determine best use of sourcing opportunities for each open position. Developing and tracking measurable facets of the recruiting and hiring process will be required to ensure the process is transparent and measurable. The position will perform administrative and recordkeeping duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process all hiring requisitions for all locations. Position will office in Dallas but travel to Van and other camp locations as needed. Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position. Pre-screen candidates Efficiently and effectively fill open positions. Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation. · Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Post openings in online venues, newspaper classified, professional organizations and other position appropriate venues. Utilize the internet for recruitment. Post positions to appropriate Internet sources Improve the company website recruiting section to assist in recruiting Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale and source new candidate leads. Create contacts within the industry. Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates (Summer Staff) Collect data on cost-per-hire and time to hire. Additional measurements to maintain are employee turnover rate, employee turnover cost and preventable employee turnover. Consider additional measurements that aid in continuous improvement, cost control, and hiring great people. Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting. Manage the use of recruiting agencies. Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements. Conduct prescreening interviews. Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the HR system. Assist in preparing and sending offer letters. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain compliance with Sky Ranch’s employee policies and procedures. Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements. Assist other HR areas as needed. Perform project work and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related business degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience Professional in Human Resources – PHR certification preferred
EXPERIENCE
One to two years of Human Resources corporate recruiting is required KNOWLEDGE OF
General knowledge of various employment laws and practices Database management and recordkeeping Advanced working knowledge and ability to use various office software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and HR applicant tracking system. Strong internet and social media skills. SKILLS AND ABILITIES IN
Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills. Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork Excellent interpersonal skills, and relationship building skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Able to collect and interpret data-based measurements to demonstrate the effectiveness or failure or the recruitment system from position open to onboarding. Ability to travel to recruitment meetings, college visits and career fairs. Excellent organizational skills Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage a variety of tasks. Ability to maintain confidentiality. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Little to no physical effort required. Ability to use up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and/or hand-eye coordination. Requires some physical agility, including but not limited to: bending for items below or reaching for items above the individual; crawling under desks; stooping, and climbing step stools or ladder. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works indoors in normal office environment majority of the time. Ability to occasionally travel to various geographic locations, including travel by car, and some overnight stays including weekends. OTHER
