The Culinary Director is a contagious and consistent Christian role model inside and outside the ministry. The Culinary Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the food service program, including staffing; inventory/budget control; food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures for the kitchen and dining hall. The Culinary Director assists in development and executes a staff development plan to build a strong leadership team which enables the delivery of excellent services in all aspects of Comeca Camp and Retreat Center

Excellent organization skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent organizational and relational skills with a track record of developing volunteer leaders and teams?
Serv-Safe Certifications required either before starting, or shortly after?
Able to prepare meals for large groups of people efficiently and in a timely manner?
Able prepare menus and order food and supplies?
Able to lead a group of food service assistants?
Able to be on your feet for extended periods of time?
Oversees that camp policies are implemented and followed by all kitchen staff, volunteers, campers, and guests of the facility.
Coordinate schedules of summer and year-round staff.
Attend colleges, career fairs, youth groups, adult ministries to recruit an excellent staff.?
Attend workshops and training to maintain and grow skills necessary to the position.
Coordinate with all other Directors and develop a hiring plan to fulfill all our staffing needs for kitchen department.
Coordinate with Program?and Guest Experience?Director?on special dietary needs and?restrictions?
Prepare and serve nutritious,?age-appropriate?meals and snacks for programs?held at?Comeca?in a timely manner?
Responsible for the Comeca kitchen department budget. Takes leadership role in monitoring, analysis, recommendations and implementation to ensure an efficient and optimum cost operation. Routinely seeks out better opportunities for higher return on investments.
Be a contributing part of the team; be able to lead a devotional for the staff and have input in ways? Comeca?can better help people experience Christ.?
Prepare menus in advance?
Prepare quarterly and annual budget projections for food and other kitchen related expenses?
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and dining hall environment, subject to regular inspections by local agencies?
Prepare meals as needed for other? Comeca functions?
Ability to follow bi-quarterly goals.?
Able to write monthly and quarterly reports.?
Attend staff and Cozad Camping Ministry board meetings as directed.
Perform other duties as may be assigned to include but not limited to cleaning of the facilities and other activity areas as needed.
Consistently completes duties and responsibilities in a timely way.

Salary: Min. $35,500
Housing, internet, utilities, and most meals provided.
Time: Full-Time Year Round
