Day Camp & Barefoot in Motion Program Coordinator
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Day Camp & Barefoot in Motion (BIM) Coordinator will work in close partnership and collaboration with the Camp Program Team (CPT), to oversee and execute the day camp and BIM program goals. This position will report to the Day Camp Site Director and assist the BIM Director to specifically ensure that all Barefoot Republic Camp (BRC) missional and operational needs are being met. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaboration with the CPT to facilitate all logistics of camp operations, program development & relationship building, and other responsibilities as outlined below.
This position requires a long term commitment to the development of BRC Operations with a desire and expectation for onsite camp leadership during BRC day camp and BIM sessions. This position requires high energy, spiritual maturity, flexible availability, servant’s heart and a positive and enthusiastic attitude. This position will need to be available to work unconventional hours during the summer months, as well as some nights and weekends throughout the year in support of various BRC camps and ministry events.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
? Logistics ? Develops, in partnership with CPT, a year round plan to ensure all aspects of camp operations are planned and prepared for including, but not limited to, site logistics, camp transportation, camper recruitment and camp program development. ? Facilitates, in partnership with CPT, all locations of staff and guest schedules, Republic assignments, specialty class assignments and logistics. ? Develops, implements and facilitates, in partnership with the CPT, daily schedules for each day camp session and BIM session. ? During the summer camp season, works closely with the Day Camp Site Directors to lead camp staff in implementation of the assigned camp program. ? ProgramDevelopment ? Works in partnership with Day Camp Site Directors and the CPT in the development, preparation and facilitation of camp curriculum, including schedules, team building and Bible study curriculum. ? Works in partnership with Day Camp Site Directors and the CPT to confirm, train and facilitate all camp programming, volunteers, bible study curriculum and camp rec. ? Equip assigned camp summer leadership team to facilitate assigned camp programming. ? Ensures all operational and programming elements necessary to facilitate camp sessions are procured and maintained. ? Assists, in partnership with CPT, the facilitation of the BRC YAB committee in developing camp themes, shirt design and program ideas. ? Serve as one of the Leaders on the camp programming committee in conjunction with the BRC Board of Directors. ? StaffRecruitment,Training&Development ? Assist the CPT in camp staff recruitment to ensure that organizational staff recruitment goals are met. ? Assist CPT in developing creative and strategic initiatives for staff recruitment for all camp operations. ? During the summer, works to primarily manage assigned camp staff to ensure that strategic initiatives and staff recruitment strategies are being executed. ? Collaborates with the CPT to provide the training and development of camp staff including the identification of new staff training sources, staff certifications, as well as overseeing the preparation and dissemination of all staff related materials. ? Other ? Serves as an ambassador in the community for the mission of BRC. ? Assists with winter camp, fundraising events, major retreats and other special events as needed. ? Assists with the media team by providing leadership, guidance and hands on assistance with photography, videography and socials.

EXPERIENCE:
? 2-3 years of experience in a similar camp role is preferred. ? Strong business acumen skills. ? Advanced proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Google Docs Suite. ? Experience with CRMs is a plus.
PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
? Able to sit at and work on a computer for extended periods. ? Able to lift 20 pounds and reach/bend to retrieve documents in cabinets and on shelves.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
? Office environment and offsite outdoor camp environment. ? Willing to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met. ? Willing to work offsite in support of camp programs and other initiatives.
