Camp Counselor

Invest in the lives of young people and make an eternal impact! Marmon Valley Farms offers an exciting and safe horse program certified through the Certified Horsemanship Association. The Farm is home to around 150 horses which has long served to attract campers to our summer camp program. Marmon Valley has utilized this exciting venue as an effective way to share the Gospel and to disciple young people in their relationship with Christ. We are looking for summer camp counselors who share our love of using God's creation and the farm life as a way to reach young people for Christ. A typical day at camp involves riding lessons in the morning, camp activities in the afternoons, and camp wide games in the evening. We also have cabin led devotions each day, an evening spiritual lesson, but, most importantly, we foster teachable moments in our lessons as a hands on way to share the Gospel.
Now you might be thinking, 'Yeah, but I don't know how to ride a horse.' While it is helpful to know how to ride, it isn't a requirement. We provide training to our staff so that everyone is equipped even if they are new to horses. This is a ten week commitment, two of which are dedicated to training, which runs from May 28th-August 5th. Counselors get paid for all ten weeks and receive Friday evenings thru Sunday Afternoons off. As they are staying with the campers, they also receive room and board for the whole experience.

Pay per week: $240-$250 (there is also a deputized compensation program available for staff to raise additional funds).
