Position Description: Facility Manager – Hume SoCal
Reports to: Site Director
FLSA Status: Full-time; Exempt
Job Summary
Responsibilities include managing HSC facilities/ maintenance team, oversite of facility projects, buildings, and the 261-acres comprising Hume SoCal. Assist in the development and management of the Facilities budget to include maintenance and priority projects.
Organizational Strategy ? Work with Site Director and Staff to meet ministry goals
? Focus on the Organization’s “Mission” and “Attention to Excellence” as a priority ? Develop and maintain a strategic perspective--based on organizational needs
? Lead with a Christ like attitude, inspire healthy working relationships ? Project a friendly demeanor when meeting the needs of camp staff and guests ? Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
· Hume maintains the right to reassign or change duties as needed
General Qualifications ? Evidenced commitment to the Christian faith and a desire to share the knowledge of Jesus Christ with others ? Agree with our Statement of Belief, abide by our Code of Conduct, and remain “mission” focused ? Working knowledge of Hume SoCal’s repair ticket system (Max-panda)
? Live within 10 driving miles from the Hume SoCal campus
? Manage and coordinate the daily maintenance activities, and facility projects ? Manage the facilities budget, maintain organizational standards, and assist with hiring facilities employees
Specific Qualifications ? Committed to leading a full-time staff by modeling Christ, inspiring Christian growth, and living out the gospel ? Experience in budget preparation and management - including but not limited to supply, labor, and capital
expenditures ? Able to forecast staffing needs, interview and assist in the hiring process
? Able to work long hours, including weekends to ensure the accomplishment of the mission
· Maintain a California Class “C” driver’s license – Commercial Class “A” or “B” license acceptable
· Proficiency in Handyman skills: General knowledge in Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, Camp Machinery Repair
· Operate General Camp Equipment: Skid Steer, Tractor with Backhoe, Dump Truck, Snowplows, Genie Lift, Telehandler, Scissor Lift, Chain Saws, Electric Wood Working Tools, Basic Engine Maintenance Repair
Physical Demands ? The work at times is stressful. May include long hours and occasionally lifting and/or moving 50 pounds (or more)
? Must be able to stand for extended periods of time ? Must be able to live and work in extreme weather conditions and at a high altitude (6800’)
Other ? Possess at least 5 year’s experience in managing and supervising employees.
