Facilities Manager
Title: Whitney Activity Center Facilities Manager
Summary: This is a full-time position. The Facilities Manager shall have general oversight of the Whitney Activity Center. The Facilities Manager will work in close relationship with the Director, Maintenance Director, and Office Staff of the Bible Conference.
All functions and activities shall be performed with the stated purpose, beliefs (Doctrinal Statement), guidelines and standards of Odosagih Bible Conference.
The Conference will provide housing on Conference property. The Facilities Manager MUST live on the property in the Conference-provided housing.
General Qualifications:
1. Must be a believer, have a relationship with Jesus Christ as personal Savior, and evidence of commitment to living a Christian life
2. Must be in FULL agreement with the Doctrinal Statement of Odosagih Bible Conference (OBC)
3. Be in agreement with the Purpose and Mission statements of OBC
4. Demonstrate a life of integrity and humility (I Timothy 3:2-7; Titus 1:6-9)
5. Five years’ experience in camp ministry or similar experience position that would lend itself to this type of ministry position
6. Be active in a local Bible-believing church
7. Show a teachable spirit, always looking for growth and improvement
8. Married – a married couple is preferred Specific Qualifications:
1. A heart for people – staff and guests
2. Ability to manage day-to-day tasks with a willingness to prioritize daily/weekly tasks with input from the Director and Maintenance Director
3. Able to manage tasks/projects, willing to direct and lead volunteers 4. Demonstrate the ability to be attentive to detail
5. Demonstrate ability to handle and safeguard confidential and sensitive information

7. Assist the Director with coordinating part-time staff and volunteers to achieve certain goals and objectives of the Whitney Activity Center
8. Be a team player, cooperate and work with a small paid ministry staff at OBC
9. A willingness to adjust hours to accommodate the needs of the job, especially during the summer season and retreat times
10. Be organized and have personal and relational skills
11. Have basic computer skills (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
12. Basic handyman/maintenance skills, working with the Maintenance Director and/or Director, as needed
13. Be willing to submit to a background check
14. Be involved in the appearance and upkeep of OBC buildings as directed by Maintenance Director/Director – a team effort!
Physical Demands:
1. Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
2. Must be able to lift and/or move 50+ pounds (lifting increased amounts of weight may be required)
3. Out-of-town and/or overnight travel may be required (CCCA conventions, etc.)
Additional Information:
1. The Facilities Manager is hired by the Director and the Board of Directors
2. This is a full-time position. Odosagih operates year-round, however, there is a very concentrated time from May – November during the summer conference season and weekends during Spring and fall for retreats. A willingness to work long days and hours is necessary to accommodate the needs of the ministry at certain times.
3. Odosagih has a small paid staff and a team effort is absolutely necessary to accomplish the many facets of ministry and work.
4. The Facilities Manager will be encouraged to help promote OBC in the Christian faith community.
Financial Compensation:
1. A house with one-car garage, located on OBC property, is part of the compensation package.
2. Salary will be discussed with potential candidate.
3. Other benefits include medical benefits, utilities (gas, electric, and water/sewer).
