Marketing & Sales Director

The Marketing & Sales Director will seek to grow our camp utilization to better fulfil our mission and vision at Cedar Camps, which is two camps in South Dakota and Iowa.

Our goal is to provide and environment at both sites where people can experience Jesus, fellowship, and grow as individuals in a residential camp and retreat atmosphere. The M&SD will promote the camp to potential guest groups, church groups, guests and campers for programmed camps, and any others that may utilize our facilities. Our goal is significant growth in group and camper usage throughout 2022 and into 2023.

This is a critical role to fulfilling the mission of Cedar Camps and requires exceptional organizational, interpersonal, management and administrative skills, as well as the ability to work independently to develop sales strategies to attract new guest groups and campers to our camps. They will sell what they believe in: camp and it’s ability to change lives. They will understand camp culture and be able to convey it’s ability to uniquely impact people. They will be knowledgeable of target markets and their culture and how our camps can uniquely benefit them spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically. They will be driven and relational, identifying key relationships and strategies to encourage camp growth through these relationships.

The ideal candidate will live in Sioux Falls, SD or it’s surrounding area to be centrally located between both camps. Other locations may also be considered. This position will require significant travel and overnight stays.

This position will seek to grow the ministry of Cedar Canyon Camp and Cedar Springs Camp and in doing so, be an integral part of changing lives through Christian camping!
