Camp Director for Special Needs Camp

Camp Conquest is a Christian overnight camp that has an immediate opening for an experienced camp professional to join its year-round leadership team. We are seeking a seasoned camp professional who is excited to take on a new experience.
The director should be hardworking and have strong relationship and communication skills. This person will play a central role in all aspects of camp, including camp operations, parent communication, camper, volunteer and staff recruitment and retention, programming, training, working with rental groups, and more. This person will have the opportunity to make a significant impact at a well-established camp looking to grow.
1. Essential Job Functions
• Oversee the daily operation of the camp including food service, scheduling, supervision, and maintenance. ¬
• Coordinate program delivery with the Summer Program Director.
• Coordinate building projects with volunteers groups.
• Oversee the implementation of consistent policies and procedures.
• Develop and oversee the business management functions of the camp.
• Remain up-to-date on current information relevant to the camp profession.
• Insure proper documentation of processes and incidents are kept.
2. Registration
• Create and maintain camp sessions within CampBrain management software.
• Communicate with parents, volunteers, and rental groups regarding registration and required forms.
• Coordinate and assist with rental groups during their stay on the property.
3. Recruiting
• Oversee recruitment and registration of campers, volunteers, and staff.
• Insure safe and inclusive environment for all guests.
• Supervise summer staff in carrying out job responsibilities.
• Provide guidance and feedback to staff members on job performance.
Qualifications
• Administrative and programmatic camp experience
• Experience with the disability community
• Proficiency in office software, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
We are 10 years young, so there is room for advancement. The right person could move into the position of Executive Director in 24 to 36 months.
Salary: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
