Program Experience Team Member

PROGRAM EXPERIENCE TEAM MEMBER - Full time year-round with benefits. Heartland Conference Retreat Center, a non-profit Christian camp and retreat center, is currently seeking team members to help facilitate programming and activities safely for guests, help maintain facilities and equipment, and assist in the ministry efforts of Heartland summer programs for the glory of God. We are an established and growing ministry serving over 22,000 guests and campers and nearly 123,000 meals pre-COVID. Heartland is located in Marengo, Ohio, just 30 minutes north of Columbus. We are looking for hardworking, teachable, dependable team members who are passionate about sharing the love of Jesus through serving our guests.

Essential Job Functions

Be familiar with and able to facilitate all programming aspects of the Heartland Outdoor Education program
Meal time Coordinator and/or Dining Room Supervisor
Teaching classes
Facilitating evening programs
Building and maintaining professional/quality relationships with teachers, students and guests
Maintenance of program equipment and supplies
Facilitation of programming for groups (including High Ropes, Low Ropes, Games, and Activities)
Program Development
Seasonal life-guarding responsibilities
Assisting in day-to-day Nature Center feeding, cleaning, and care
Assisting and participating in staff training(s) when necessary
Assisting other departments as needed, especially during down or slow program season
Additional responsibilities could Include: Hosting Guest Groups, Teacher/Cabin Leader Presentations, Providing oversight in specific program areas
