Food Service Intern

Considering a career in Christian Camping? Wish you could try it out before jumping in full time? Now you can. Hartland Christian Camp is offering a Food Service Internship opportunity for 2-3 individuals starting at the end of each summer!

This internship will have you learning food service skills through a firsthand approach.

You'll be assisting existing trained staff in the methods we use to serve our guests. Each Internship Opportunity is limited to 1-3 individuals so you get first-hand experience in the industry. You'll also receive a certificate of completion for your time with us.

We're excited to start the process of filling our Fall and Spring Food Internship positions. This August we're offering 1-3 individuals the opportunity live, breath, participate, and most importantly to serve in our Food Service Department alongside our professional cook-staff.

Interns will learn the basics of food prep and service in a camp-style environment while also joining the rest of the team with server and dish room duties. Positions quickly fill so be sure to apply early on, it's not too late to submit interest. It's truly a unique opportunity to see if camp ministry is a good fit for you or to get a real-life experience in the food service industry. Our current offering lasts from late January through Mid June, June through August, and mid-August through early November of each year, but we are also flexible with dates as long as it makes sense for our camper needs.

Long-term internship opportunities may also be available as well but there will likely be some breaks in service around the holidays when camp is closed (Mid-November through December usually don't see internship opportunities).

If you're interested in joining us for any of our Spring, Summer, or Fall Internships for next year, you can also apply for those as well. Just make a note for the term that you're applying for (example: Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Fall 2024)

There are also opportunities to serve as a volunteer during summer from June through August of each year.
