Agricultural Projects Intern - Immerse Experience

The Immerse Experience at Camp of the Hills is designed to equip young adults with a deeper understanding of Christ-centered leadership through the development of professional skills, hands-on ministry opportunities, and intentional discipleship within a Christian camp environment. This occurs through behind-the-scenes work, up-front leadership opportunities, interactions with campers and guests, mentoring relationships, and working alongside Camp staff and volunteers with a shared purpose and vision.

The Ag Intern would work closely with our Outdoor Education program and Grounds Staff to spearhead, develop, &/or maintain a variety of demonstration projects:
- Orchard Demo
- Traditional Garden / Crop Farming Demo
- Aquaponics Garden
- Irrigation / Rain Water Catchment Systems
- Chicken Coop (TBD)

Our main purpose at Camp of the Hills is to offer transformational Summer Camp expereinces to kids from low-income and at-risk backgrounds. We fundraise nearly 85% of our annual budget, and our Outdoor Ed, Retreats & Rentals, and Immerse programs are important in maximizing the use of camp's facilities during the non-summer months and generating income that allows us to sponsor 100% of our Summer Campers.

This position will directly impact our mission by caring for these projects that are the basis of curriculum, activities, and community enrichment events that are enjoied by campers for both Summer Camp & Outdoor Ed Programs!
