Position Summary Wesley Woods Family Camp and Retreat, a ministry of Michigan Area United Methodist Camping (MAUMC) and branded as Grace Outside, seeks a full-time, year-round Site Director (individual or couple) to provide hands-on leadership for our family camp and retreat center.
The Site Director is responsible for the overall operation, hospitality, facilities care, programming support, administration, and ministry presence at Wesley Woods. This role is ideal for a person or couple with a flexible, servant-hearted approach who enjoys both leading and doing, and who thrives in a faith-based outdoor ministry setting.
The Site Director will work collaboratively with other Site Directors from MAUMC properties—including Lake Michigan Family Campground and Lake Huron Retreat Center—as well as the Director of Finance/HR for MAUMC. All Directors report to the MAUMC Board of Directors.

Employment Details Position Type: Full-time, year-round FLSA Status: Exempt Salary Range: $43,000–$50,000 annually, plus health benefits and retirement package If a couple is selected, compensation will be structured as a combined package Work Location: On-site Housing at Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat in Dowling, Michigan
Reports To: MAUMC Board of Directors Supervisory Responsibility: Year round staff, Seasonal staff, volunteers, contractors

Share a challenging or negative experience you have encountered in a camp, hospitality, ministry, or similar setting. How did you handle it? 5. Tell us about a time you had to manage conflict with a guest, staff member, or volunteer. How did you balance grace, accountability, and problem-solving? 6. Describe your experience with facilities, maintenance, or grounds work. What tasks are you most comfortable performing? 7. If you have limited maintenance experience, how would you learn these skills and ensure the site remains safe and well cared for? 8. Describe any experience you have with kitchen operations, food service, or meal coordination for groups. 9. Camps require flexibility and adaptability.
