Executive Director
Introduction Hilltop Christian Camp, a Christ-centered ministry serving youth, families, and churches since 1946, is seeking a mission-driven, spiritually grounded Executive Director to guide the next chapter of this historic ministry. For nearly 80 years, Hilltop has been a place where children and adults encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and build lifelong relationships. The Board is prayerfully launching a national search for a leader who will steward Hilltop’s legacy and strengthen its foundation for generations to come.
Position Summary The Executive Director provides leadership, spiritual direction, and administrative oversight for Hilltop Christian Camp. This role ensures the effective fulfillment of the camp’s mission, oversees programs and staff, builds strong ministry partnerships, leads fundraising efforts, and manages facilities, finances, and operational systems.
Champion the Mission and Vision • Serve as the ambassador of Hilltop’s mission, communicating the ministry’s impact with churches, donors, and community partners. • Ensure clarity of mission, vision, and values across staff, volunteers, and supporters. • Promote Christian camp ministry within the broader community.
Organizational Leadership & Program Oversight • Lead strategic planning with the Board and staff. • Support program development, dean recruitment, summer camp operations, and retreat hosting. • Build a healthy, unified staff culture rooted in spiritual growth and servant leadership.
Staff Development & Team Building • Recruit, supervise, and develop staff members. • Provide regular check-ins, evaluations, and professional development pathways. • Foster spiritual formation and excellence in service.
Board Partnership • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to cast vision and establish goals. • Provide monthly reports, communicate organizational needs, and support board governance.
Fundraising & Donor Engagement • Lead fundraising planning and donor stewardship. • Represent Hilltop to churches, supporters, foundations, and community partners. • Guide events, fundraising campaigns, and long-term development strategy.
Financial & Operational Stewardship • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. • Ensure responsible stewardship of donor resources and regulatory compliance. • Manage facilities, maintenance, risk, and campus improvements.
Required Qualifications • A mature, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. • Heart for youth, families, churches, donors, and volunteers. • Experience in nonprofit leadership, ministry leadership, or camp direction. • Strong administrative, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities. • Ability to handle facilities oversight and emergency responses. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
Required Certifications (or willingness to obtain) • Certified Pool Technician • ServeSafe Food Manager • PRCA Certified Trainer • CPR/First Aid
