Healthcare Coordinator

The Healthcare Coordinator is a key member of the summer camp team, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all campers and staff throughout the season. This role supports the day-to-day medical needs of camp, manages health records and medications, and helps create a safe, caring environment where campers can thrive.

Responsibilities Include:
-Oversee and maintain the camp Health Center, keeping it organized, clean, and welcoming.
-Manage camper and staff health forms, immunization records, and confidentiality requirements.
-Administer daily medications and basic first aid under standing orders and camp protocols.
-Provide care for minor injuries and illnesses, and determine when further medical attention is necessary.
-Communicate with parents regarding camper health needs, medication updates, and any incidents.
-Support campers with ongoing health conditions (asthma, allergies, diabetes, etc.).
-Maintain accurate incident and medication logs.
-Respond to health-related emergencies calmly and efficiently.
-Collaborate with directors, counselors, and kitchen staff to support allergy accommodations and safety plans.
- Promote healthy habits and hygiene throughout camp.
