Staff & Program Director

Do you have a passion for children and the outdoors? A love of summer camp and a desire to work in a leadership role? Cub Creek Science Camp is seeking to hire 2 program directors to support in our girls village and leadership program. The program director is responsible for providing direct supervision and coaching to their assigned group of cabins and activities. They will work collaboratively with the camp leadership team to develop and run staff training, and summer program. Providing regular coaching to staff to aide in their personal and professional growth. Off season these positions are responsible for facility rentals, support with seasonal staff hiring, and other tasks as needed to support the program.

Required Experience and Skills:
• Completed at least 3 seasons working in a summer camp - preferably holding a leadership role
• Experience working with children and/or teens in a camp or educational setting
• Valid Driver’s License
• A desire to positively impact the life of a child and willingness to put the needs of campers first
• Have a passion for science, animals and childhood development
• A clear communicator and empathetic listener
• Self-motivated and able to work on tasks and assigned goals with minimal supervision
• Be willing to learn new concepts and skills
• Able to work in a team and both give and take direction from others
• Willingness to adhere to camp’s code of conduct, rules and policies

Compensation and Benefits:
• 35k-42k based on experience
• Health Insurance after 6months
• Paid Vacation and Summer Comp Time
