Major Gifts Officer
Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Training & development Vision insurance This position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow Christ. To secure financial resources and funding, Sky Ranch aims to advance its mission by fulfilling the passions and interests of prospective and current donors by providing them with meaningful giving opportunities and encouraging their generosity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage and qualify a portfolio of 80-120 assigned high-level donors and prospects, developing and strengthening long-term relationships through personal interactions, events, and experiences. Create a financial goal for each donor. Create and execute a plan for each donor that fulfills the donor’s interests and passions. Identify, research, and cultivate new prospects, arranging meetings and networking opportunities with Sky Ranch’s leadership to increase interest and giving. Work with the Associate VP of Development and Program Team to secure program information to create donor offers and reporting to share with the donor on how their gift is making a difference. Achieve a minimum annual fundraising goal, which includes securing multi-year commitments and special project funding from individual major donors Perform all major gift officer duties, including, but not limited to: Monthly reporting to management that reflects caseload management and activity Tracking all activity in the CRM Attending donor cultivation events Attending summer closing ceremonies In-person staff meetings in Dallas as requested by VP and/or CEO QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION College degree required EXPERIENCE Minimum 5-10 years’ work experience related field preferred Possesses expertise in managing a major donor portfolio and moving donors to higher levels of giving. Sky Ranch Alumni camper and counselor preferred KNOWLEDGE Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), presentation software and customer database systems Proficient and active on social media and online networking tools such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram Requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule with occasional evenings and weekends during the summer SKILLS AND ABILITIES Subscribe to the utmost level of professionalism Effective communicator across all mediums Excellent interpersonal skills, and relationship building skills High-energy dynamic leader that enjoys connecting relationally with others of all ages, life experiences, and backgrounds. Must establish and maintain professional working relationships with employees, managers and external constituents, including demonstrating consistent Speed of Trust behaviors. Possess current driver’s license and able to drive company vehicles as needed. Social media experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS Little to no effort required. Ability to use up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and/or hand-eye coordination. WORK ENVIRONMENT Works remotely meeting face to face with donors in North Texas, Texas, Oklahoma, & Colorado as required. Weekly in person meetings in Dallas office as requested. Ability to travel to East Texas at least twice a month (Van, TX) OTHER Commitment to Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally. Must be able to support Sky Ranch’s Doctrinal Statement fully and be an active member in a church whose spiritual beliefs are aligned with Sky Ranch’s Doctrinal Statement.

Must demonstrate annually a clear background check and review of child safety practices as required for camp accreditation by the American Camping Association. Flexible work from home options available.
