Summer Marketing and Media Intern REPORTS TO: Summer Staff Manager / Sales and Marketing PURPOSE STATEMENT: The purpose of the Summer Media Intern is to capture and create content, tell stories, and work on exciting projects that reflect and promote the ministry that takes place at Tejas in order to maximize the effectiveness of Tejas in setting the stage for Jesus to transform lives. This individual will serve as a vital member of our staff team, Team Two:Three. Putting others’ needs before our own, both in our relationships within the team and in accommodating our guests, striving to always count others as more significant than ourselves. This is done in accordance with Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” POSITION DESCRIPTION: This person will serve alongside the Tejas team in fulfilling the Tejas mission of setting the stage for Jesus to transform lives. RESPONSIBILITIES: Summer Marketing and Media Intern Responsibilities Draft fun, engaging captions and posts for Instagram, Facebook, and beyond. Create an end-of-summer slideshow that has everyone reliving the best moments. Be our behind-the-scenes storyteller, capturing camp and summer staff moments through photos and video. Work on special projects like reels, highlight stories, or other creative campaigns Sort and curate the best photos of the summer for future use.
Projects: Recruitment campaign ideas for 2027 staff. Maintain and update the Tejas social media pages. Sorting prime photos for the marketing archives. End-of-summer highlight slideshow. Daily content capturing and posting.
QUALIFICATIONS: A college student pursuing a degree in Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or something similar is preferred Self-starter who takes initiative with projects Friendly and outgoing—you’ll be engaging with campers, staff, and guests to capture authentic stories Social media savvy—you know the trends, the platforms, and how to make content pop A strong writer who can turn camp moments into fun, engaging captions. Comfortable with photography basics (rule of thirds, good lighting, capturing candid moments) Organized and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously
WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a seasonal position. We believe this position is more than a job, it is a ministry opportunity. Working hours may vary as necessary to accomplish the responsibilities of the ministry.
Time: Full-Time Seasonal
