About us:
Gull Lake Ministries is a Christian Family Ministry & Retreat Center located on Gull Lake in Southwest Michigan. We exist to exalt Jesus Christ, proclaim the Word of God, encourage personal commitment to Christ, share God’s work around the world, and provide opportunity for physical refreshment and spiritual renewal.

Position Summary:
As with all positions at Gull Lake Ministries, our Grounds Technicians are first and foremost ministers of the gospel. They play a vital role in cultivating an atmosphere of beauty and spiritual refreshment for all who visit through excellent grounds and landscaping. The ideal candidate demonstrates a heart for service, takes pride in their work, is self-motivated, a team player, and is safety conscious.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Assist the Grounds supervisor as needed
Maintain lawns, flower beds, and outdoor spaces
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, etc.)
Perform seasonal work such as snow removal and leaf cleanup
Maintain and repair equipment and vehicles
Maintain and repair irrigation systems
Assist with basic maintenance of outdoor structures (fences, benches, fire pits, etc.)
Work closely with other departments to prepare for guests
Support special projects and workdays as needed

Qualifications:
Must profess belief in Jesus Christ and his redemptive work on the cross and reflect this belief in their daily walk and interaction with others
A heart for Christian ministry and a willingness to serve others
Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, and outdoor maintenance
Ability to safely operate and maintain landscaping tools and machinery
Physically able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain
Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Valid driver’s license
