Forest Springs is a year-round Christian camp and retreat center nestled in Wisconsin’s beautiful Northwoods. Position Summary

The Head Cook helps fulfill the ministry of Cedar Bay by leading the preparation and service of meals for campers, guests, and staff. This role oversees kitchen operations, maintains food quality and safety, and fosters a Christ-centered, servant-hearted environment in the kitchen.

This position is located in Cedarville, MI

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate kitchen staff for efficient and timely meal service.

Oversee food preparation, menu execution, and portion control.

Ensure meals are served on schedule and with warm hospitality.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Communicate inventory needs and menu suggestions to the Food Service Director.

Model Christlike teamwork, humility, and care toward all staff and guests.

Spiritual Expectations

Exhibit a growing relationship with Jesus Christ in both word and deed.

Support and uphold Forest Springs’ Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.

Participate in staff prayer, local church worship, and mentoring opportunities.

Qualifications

Personal faith in Jesus Christ and desire to serve in a ministry setting.

Experience in food service or culinary leadership (camp or hospitality preferred).

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).

Commitment to teamwork, stewardship, and excellence.
