Maintenance Specialist

Brief Description of Duties
A Maintenance Specialist must be able to perform general and specialized maintenance work to Eagle Village facilities, such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating, automotive, painting, major construction, heavy equipment operations, cabinetry, major remodeling, grounds/landscaping. This person must have the ability to work well with other staff, guests, residents and volunteers. The Maintenance Specialist must also have good supervisory skills, be in good physical condition, be organized and have good self-discipline.

• Have good moral character
• Be emotionally stable
• Be 21 or older
• Be able to perform each essential duty safely and satisfactorily
• Present education documentation for a high school diploma or GED
• Have a valid Michigan driver’s license

Brief Description on Any Preferences
High school diploma or GED required; two-years of college or technical school certification preferred; two to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills a must. Electronic/computerized HVAC equipment experience preferred.
