 Glorieta Adventure Camps is looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to live and work in a close community to serve in the much-needed role of Booking Assistant.  COMMUNITY
 The makeup of our community determines a large part of what it is like to live and work here. We have approximately 120 people who live on-site year-round, consisting of full-time staff, staff families, and seasonal staff. Glorieta is a beautiful place with many natural resources but calls for a somewhat remote living.
 
 Job Purpose: To fulfill our mission by working with the Retreats team and coordinating all aspects of Retreats groups (schools, churches, businesses, etc.) bookings under the direction of the Marketing & Bookings Coordinator.
 
 Overall Responsibility
 Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ and maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with the internal and external customers of the Camp Eagle Family of Camps.
 Complete all administrative tasks for all groups such as: pre-trip scheduling, post-group debriefing, follow up, surveys, billing and collecting payments, preparing and receiving contracts and deposit forms, schedules, etc.
 Create, adjust and be familiar with Salesforce to create and manage opportunities, accounts, payments, and contacts as necessary
 Make housing, activity, meal, and resource reservations for all guests, programs, and events
 Communicate with group leaders through email, phone call and in person
 Gathers information and determines needs of all groups for all hosts and works with them to create exceptional experiences
 Communicate internal needs to necessary staff, includes preparing all hosts and managers for their groups
 Willingness to learn new skills
 Ability to be flexible with time-off and new policies
 Ability to work with groups of all sizes
 Learn and then assist Retreats Manager with all aspects of quality control (housekeeping, retail, activities, etc.)
 Ability to create logistics sheets with all required details of groups needs for internal use
 Form authentic relationships with group sponsors and leaders, teachers, future guests, and staff (full-time, summer staff, and interns)
 Facilitate all aspects of tours for future guests of all programs
 Occasionally run activities, facilitate group development sessions, front-of-house meal preparation or meal cleans as needed and as trained when others are not scheduled or your help is needed
 Aid in the purchasing of necessary equipment and material for the success of programs
 Take lead in the event and opportunity creation for all programs and the follow through on registration for all programs
 Program gate codes for guests
 Assist in answering the main line phone and transferring calls
 Assist in housekeeping as needed
 Assist the Retreats Manager and all Program Managers with efficiency projects or whatever else is required
 Other Duties of ALL Glorieta Staff: We operate year-round. We have guests on the premises almost every day of the year. Serving guests is our number one priority, and therefore, ALL staff must participate in guest service in some capacity. Tasks may include cooking, cleaning, facilitating group activities, running retail locations, general maintenance of camp property, and work projects as needed. There are often groups here on weekends, and all staff members will be required to work certain weekends as needed.
 
 Character, Education, Abilities, Skills, Experience:
 
 The “ideal” candidate will have:
 A vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to scripture and will continue to pursue that further
 Strong sense of hospitality and customer service
 High degree comfortability with phone calls, emails, guest interaction, and public speaking
 College Degree or higher is preferred
 Ability to use technological systems at Camp proficiently
 Proficiency in use of spreadsheets
 Experience with Salesforce
 Ability to work long hours
 Ability to confront, encourage, and inspire staff towards excellence in their work
 Easily communicates with guests in a professional and friendly manner, verbally and in writing
 Strong administrative and organizational skills
 Experience with event planning or the equivalent is highly desired
 High level of managing details for up to 15 events at one time
 Ability to manage, delegate and respond to situations in a Christ-centered way
 Ability to problem solve and be flexible and adaptable with the changing and developing needs of guests and handle the resulting actions with speed and kindness
 
 Work Context: This job will be performed primarily on location at the Glorieta, New Mexico location
 Travel: Occasional travel to help with recruiting, marketing, or training.
 Physical Demands: Ability to lift 60 lbs, sit in office, hike, stand all day, be willing to get your hands dirty.
 Work Environment: Most work will be done in the office, at a desk. Occasionally may be asked to help with all-camp projects, including working in inclement weather conditions throughout the year.
 Training: Employees will be given opportunities for improvement through appropriate training.
 Compensation: Salary, on-site housing, medical insurance, 401(k) retirement package after one year, and paid vacation time. See HR and/or potential supervisor for details.
