About Us Michindoh Conference Center is a Christ-centered camp and retreat ministry committed to providing life-changing experiences for youth, families, and groups. We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Finance & HR Manager to oversee financial operations and lead human resources functions for our organization.
Position Overview The Finance & HR Manager will be responsible for all accounting processes, payroll management, and financial reporting, as well as providing leadership in human resources administration. This individual will ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity across all financial and personnel-related activities while supporting Michindoh’s ministry mission.
Key Responsibilities • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, deposits, bank reconciliations, and monetary controls. • Maintain the general ledger and manage monthly and year-end closings. • Prepare and submit financial reports to the IRS, Treasury, and Michindoh’s Board of Directors. • Manage payroll processing and budgeting. • Lead HR functions including administration of workers’ compensation, retirement plans, employee records, and onboarding/orientation. • Ensure compliance with financial and employment regulations. • Provide support and training for departments handling funds.
Software & Tools Used • Sage 50/Peachtree • Camp Wise • Paychex • Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Strong background in financial management, payroll, and HR administration. • Proficiency with Sage 50 (Peachtree), Paychex, and Microsoft Office. • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Commitment to Michindoh’s Christian mission and values.
Compensation & Benefits • Salary range from $40,000 - $50,000 commensurate with experience. • Retirement plan, and paid time off. • Opportunity to be part of a ministry-focused, team-oriented environment.
