Outdoor Education Program Intern

The Immerse Experience at Camp of the Hills is designed to equip young adults with a deeper understanding of Christ-centered leadership through the development of professional skills, hands-on ministry opportunities, and intentional discipleship within a Christian camp environment. This occurs through behind-the-scenes work, up-front leadership opportunities, interactions with campers and guests, mentoring relationships, and working alongside Camp staff and volunteers with a shared purpose and vision.

The Outdoor Education Intern will specifically help our Outdoor Education Director with events for kids ages PreK-12th grade. We offer a variety of experiences for Private Schools, Public Schools, and Homeschool Groups such as: field trips, overnight trips, day camps, & TimberNook therapudic play expereinces,

The Outdoor Education Internship offers resume-building responsibilities in event planning, event hosting, activity facilitation, guest communication, curriculum/activity development, and hospitality services.

Our programming specializes in the following activities:
Adventure Activities (Archery, Canoeing/Kayaking, Low Ropes, High Ropes, Sling Shot, Forest Forts, Survivalist), Creative Activities (Rock Stacking, Natural Dyes, Landscape Painting, Story Telling) and Educational Activities (Social-Emotional learning, Team-Building Challenges, Bees, Polinators, Gardening, Aquaponics, Symbiotic Relationships, etc.)

Our Outdoor Education program is important in maximizing the use of camp's facilities during the non-summer months (Sept-May) and for generating income that allows us to fulfill our Summer Camp mission of offering low-cost camps to kids from low-income and at-risk backgrounds.
