Facilities Director
The Summit California, nestled on a breathtaking 251-acre property in Whitmore, California, approximately 35 miles east of Redding, is a haven for those seeking purpose in a Christ-centered environment. We are currently seeking a qualified Facilities Director to join our team, collaborating closely with our maintenance staff to uphold the cleanliness and safety of our buildings and grounds.
The Facilities Director will oversee all facets of building operations, ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities. Some of the responsibilities include conducting routine safety inspections, liaising with contractors, scheduling maintenance tasks, maintaining meticulous records, and supervising facilities personnel. Our ideal candidate is proficient in facilities management procedures and demonstrates exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
Responsibilities *Hands on work with plumbing,electrical,carpentry,grounds work, and other areas of facility maintenance and upkeep *Oversee training of staff and volunteers working on facility and grounds projects *Experience with supervising the work of others *Demonstrate ability to get along well with people and be “guest minded” at all times *Manage project list and assign tasks to staff and volunteers to ensure completion of projects in a timely manner and with excellence *Ensure all Summit vehicles: cars and trucks, mowing equipment, tractors are maintained. *Assist with budget and expense management for the facilities and grounds *Responsibilities beyond the scope of this job description may be occasionally required
Skills and qualifications *Must have an active, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ *Aligned with our statement of beliefs and organizational essentials including shared core values, a sense of personal calling to our mission,and a commitment to our mission *A mission minded, servant attitude required *House on-site and being on call for emergency needs as necessary *Experience and skilled in areas of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, drywall,general carpentry, pool maintenance, and grounds care *Detail oriented with a passion for excellence *Excellent communication skills *Management experience with employees and/or volunteers *Ability to work in a team environment with staff and volunteers *Organized and self-motivated
