Grounds and Landscaping Technician
Work as part of a team to fulfill our mission and prevent the grounds of Glorieta from being a distraction to the guests’ experience. This includes working towards creating functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing outdoor landscapes while preserving the natural beauty of the high desert environment. This role will specifically be taking responsibility for caring for the grounds and landscape under the direction from the Forestry and Landscaping Manager.

Key Responsibilities Help maintain the grounds of Glorieta through various methods, including but not limited to: Mowing, blowing, weed eating and abatement, applying pesticides, fertilizing, felling trees, pruning, digging, and trenching Perform road repairs, drainage, and irrigation system maintenance and installation Trash management, snow clearing, helping with outdoor projects, cutting, hauling, and splitting firewood Assist with other departments, when needed, be on-call to help with guest needs, snow plowing, and ensure a positive guest experience Learn tasks in tradecrafts such as sodding, landscaping, and irrigation systems Qualifications
Ability to communicate well with team members, staff, and guests A strong desire to learn new things A strong sense of self-motivation and work ethic A personal relationship with Christ that permeates all aspects of his/her life Willingness to perform routine tasks regularly and on time, with deadlines weekly and monthly A natural ability or strong desire for organization Willingness to perform tasks alone or in a group as well as lead large groups in projects Minimum 18 years old At least one year of experience on a grounds, landscape, or similar is preferred Experience operating heavy machines and equipment preferred (chainsaw, power tools, tractor, skid steer, snow plow) Proven ability to work with your hands to perform maintenance-type duties Ability to lift 25lbs, stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and perform other physical tasks

Compensation and Benefits Starting pay is $15.00/hour. Compensation is hourly with overtime pay. On-site housing with utilities and appliances included Medical coverage through CHM, employer funded HRA, and pharmacy benefit plan - 100% paid by employer for employee and spouse PTO - base amount of 20 days annually, sick leave, and volunteer time off Retirement - After 1 year of employment, employer contributes 4% NEC and up to 4% matched Camp program and retail discounts, including a free session of camp annually, friends and family lodging options, and use of camp facilities for personal gatherings On-site meals for employee and family during the summer and special occasions This is not a complete list of employee benefits, but a general overview
