Fundraising for your Camp Ministry - Does the fundraising cycle ever end?

Every year the financial challenges of camp ministry stretch your development muscle.  Let’s pause and reboot the money machine for a day.  Steve Spoelhof, a GENEVA parent, board member, and supporter, will engage you in the spirited money discussion and present development ideas for immediate application in your role.

There will be three sessions–

  • How do you look at the big picture of your development process?  What’s your reality?
  • What is major gift development?  Who are major donors?  How do you approach, disciple, ask, and communicate with major supporters?
  • Back to the basics – what are the key performance indicators that you should be tracking?  How do you lead development activities?

And we’ll stay flexible so if you got questions that the entire group can learn from, we’ll call an audible and adapt the sessions.

Joining us will be Steve Spoelhof a coach and consultant for Bayside Capital.  Steve has 30 years of experience in business and non-profit work, ranging from small and large businesses, Willow Creek Association, roles in leadership, fundraising, sales, training, and development.

The time raising support for The Global Leadership Summit (see willowcreek.com) changed Steve’s perspective on development.  Leading a team to engage donors to support a vision beyond themselves shaped Steve’s development team’s process.  Meaningful relationships, powerful stories, accountability and transparency, and gratitude are driving values for a positive philanthropic experience for donor and organization. These experiences lead to many coaching and speaking opportunities to challenge church and non-profit leaders to a more effective and God-glorifying view of development.  Blessed to give as well as ask, Steve delivers perspectives that may challenge your view of money, fundraising and donor relationships.  His prayer and purpose is to release resources for Kingdom work.

“This is a CCCA Advance you won’t want to miss. I can personally attest to Steve’s extensive and knowledgeable background in resource development. He has a myriad of applicable work experience and is closely involved with camping ministry as he sits on the GENEVA Board of Directors and on the Development Committee. I am positive you will walk away with immediate action steps for your ministry.” –Kevin VanderKlok, Executive Director at GENEVA
