The Horsemanship Wrangler is a member of Program Leadership Staff and directly responsible to the Horsemanship Coordinator. Wranglers are responsible for all horse-related programs and activities including care of horses and equipment, safety of participants, and supervision of activities. The Horsemanship Wrangler must have experience working with and riding horses and be able to teach others. The Wrangler must be physically capable of riding horses, lifting saddles and equipment, helping campers on and off the horses and moving hay. Working hours begin early and may continue late into the night. It may be necessary to react quickly in an emergency and provide first aid care.
