Maintenance Foreman
The Maintenance Department plays a vital role in creating a pleasant and safe experience for our guest groups. We are looking for a Maintenance Foreman to join our staff. The position will require an individual with a strong, growing, and deep relationship with Jesus Christ, and the ability and desire to tell others about Jesus.
This is a Full-Time/Exempt, working supervisory position with a competitive salary package, employee benefits, retirement options after 1 year of service, and on-site housing is required. The applicant will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week to include weekends and some holidays as guest group needs require. The applicant will share in an on-call rotation on a monthly basis and will be required to stay on property during that time. The Maintenance Foreman will report to the COO and the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain all buildings, residences, vehicles, equipment, grounds, and any associated utilities on the property to include a class A swimming pool • Train and lead all maintenance staff and volunteers • Operate efficiently within an annual budget as defined by Executive Director • Provide oversight on special building and development projects • Plan and implement preventative maintenance on all equipment and facilities • Ensure camp grounds are kept and maintained • Share “On-Call” responsibilities on a monthly rotation • Open and close facilities before and after guest group usage • Organization, upkeep, and proper cleaning of all camp tools and Maintenance Shop • Keeping up with all TCEQ records and requirements • Assist with program duties to include the facilitation of axe throwing, zip line, archery, low ropes, and climbing wall • Able to obtain and upkeep a CPO license • Have the ability to obtain and upkeep valid lifeguard certification and First Aid - CPR/AED Certification • Other tasks as required by Camp Management
Requirements: • Ability to safely use power tools, hand tools, some heavy equipment, and many types of vehicles • Clean driving record • Must be able to pass criminal background and national sex offender database check • Above average hand/eye coordination • Demonstrable experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall, and carpentry • Ability to prioritize daily tasks to remain efficient and focused on guest needs • Strong work ethic • Attention to detail and ability to self-start each day • High degree of integrity • Pleasant attitude and ability to handle guest issues promptly • 6-month probationary period
