Guest Services is seeking an individual that has the ability to Lead, cross train and strengthen an already great team. This is a position where many hats need to be worn, with a primary focus on Food Service, but be cross-trained in Housekeeping and Retail. JOB DESCRIPTION

Oversee production and execution of meal service in the Main Dining Hall as designated by the Food Service Administrator. Maintain operational condition of kitchens as outlined in policies and procedures to meet and exceed state and federal compliance.

Job Purpose: To help bring Christ-like change in people’s lives by providing outstanding meals and excellent customer service.

Peak Season Responsibility

Fulfilling the tasks appointed to them by the Food Service Administrator.
Oversee meal prep, planning, and cleaning for 50,000 guests yearly
Lead all hourly Food Service staff, seasonal staff, & volunteers.
Lead in training and ongoing development of full-time, summer, seasonal, and hourly staff
Maintains leadership in modeling cleanliness, readiness, and effectiveness of food service locations.
Responsible for documentation and execution of food safety plan, daily checklists, food waste log management, and stock rotation on a shift-by-shift basis.
Maintain FIFO and cleanliness of all Walk-Ins.
Support the Food Service Administrator in receiving all incoming orders.
Lead and preserve HACCP and OSHA safety programs as required to meet compliance and ensure a safe guest experience.
Assist and participate in cleaning projects and managerial tasks as necessary to meet policy and procedural compliance.
Clean and keep all kitchen appliances, equipment, and areas where food is served.
Stay current with current food trends.
Continuous Improvement on the forefront of your mind.

Shoulder Season Responsibilities:
During the “Shoulder” or “Retreat” season the Retail Lead will join with the Housekeeping and Retail Crew to help clean/prep/prepare for the Peak Season, as well as, maintain some responsibilities in Food Service.
Crossed-trained in all Guest Service departments: Housekeeping and Retail.
A willing attitude to do whatever is tasked.
Stay current with ServSafe Certification and guidelines.
Join in “All-Hands” calls.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to lead in a positive and respectful way.
Be teachable, moldable, and adaptable.
Strong work ethic.
Strong sense of urgency and timeliness.
Highly organized with an eye for detail.
The ability to learn and grow in the Culinary field (Cooking techniques, taste profiles and stay current with food trends).
Must be proficient with Google Workspace as well as willing to learn additional software that Glorieta uses, such as Microsoft Teams, Monday.com and Salesforce.
Excellent personal hygiene.

Work Context: This job is on-site at Glorieta, NM.
Travel: Minimal travel will be required for this job.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 60+ lbs, sit, stand, bend, squat, and be willing to get your hands dirty.
Work Environment: Most work will mostly be done indoors.
Training: Paid on-the-job training will be provided.
Compensation: Full-time, hourly with housing and benefits.
Start Date: September 30th, 2023
Reports to the Food Service Administrator
