Guest Services is seeking an individual that has the ability to Lead, cross train and strengthen an already great team. This is a position where many hats need to be worn, with a primary focus on Retail, but be cross-trained in Housekeeping and Food Service. JOB DESCRIPTION
The Retail Lead is responsible for helping coordinate the operations of all retail locations and aid in retail contributing to the overall camp community and ministry of Glorieta Adventure Camps.

Job Purpose: To help bring Christ-like change in people’s lives by providing outstanding product selection and excellent customer service.

Peak Season Responsibility
Maximize profits through various strategies, including product mix, appropriate pricing, minimizing costs, effective product display, managing inventory, reducing loss and waste, etc.
Manage the financial aspect of the stores by training and supervising all cash handling processes and controls to ensure protocols are being adhered to.
Be educated in the equipment/tools used in all retail locations.
Keep work stations orderly/clean and stocked at all times and hold to standards and schedule for deep cleans of all equipment.
Daily inventory of goods.
Daily analysis of cost of goods sold vs dollar per camper.
Strive to build relationships with current suppliers and research new and more cost-efficient suppliers.
Keep an up-to-date knowledge of the POS system and maintain product information within the system.
Achieve and preserve a high level of customer service.
Training and leading summer and non-summer staff during Peak Season.
Keep an inventory of all consumable items, associated goods, and retail merchandise items and orders as needed.
Assist in ordering, receiving, and distribution of products.
Continuous Improvement, be on the lookout for ways to improve the workflow in all departments.
When the need arises the job will include assisting with other camp-related duties.
Manage shifts and delegate tasks.
Conduct the End of Fiscal Year inventory.
Communicates directly with the Guest Services Director.
Continuous Improvement on the forefront of your mind.

Shoulder Season Responsibilities:
Help brainstorm and implement new retail ideas including locations, products, and policies.
During the “Shoulder” or “Retreat” season the Retail Lead will join with the Housekeeping and Food Service Crew to help clean/prep/prepare for the Peak Season, as well as, maintain some responsibilities in Retail.
Crossed trained in all Guest Service departments: Housekeeping, and Food Service
A willing attitude to do whatever is tasked.
Forecast upcoming trends with merchandise, by researching products and comparables.
Stay current with ServSafe Certification and guidelines.
Join in “All-Hands” calls.

Ability to lead in a positive and respectful way.

Strong sense of urgency and timeliness.
Highly organized with an eye for detail.
The ability to learn and implement growing trends.
Must be proficient with Google Workspace as well as willing to learn additional software that Glorieta uses, such as Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, and Salesforce.
Excellent personal hygiene.

Work Context: This job is on-site at Glorieta, NM.
Travel: Minimal travel will be required for this job.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 60+ lbs, sit, stand, bend, squat and be willing to get your hands dirty.
Work Environment: Most work will mostly be done indoors.
Training: Paid on-the-job training will be provided.
Compensation: Full-time, hourly with housing and benefits.
Start Date: September 30th, 2023
Reports to the Guest Service Director
