Science Center Intern
Are you looking to dive deeper in your love of teaching, curriculum development, and animal care in a fun-filled environment? The Science Center at Timber-lee is a state-of-the-art, 14,000 sq. ft. facility that houses more than 60 animal species, has nine indoor classrooms, and has more than 35 different interactive displays. Our ICM internship participants will spend around 40 hours per week gaining practical, hands-on experience in teaching and leading groups of students, ranging in age from pre-k to 8th grade (predominantly focusing on 5th-6th grade) in a variety of science and outdoor skills classes.
Our Science Center-based interns have the opportunity to walk away with skills in teaching, curriculum development, and animal care. In addition, interns gain experience in youth retreat program planning and implementation, as they live and learn about year-round camp ministry.
Join an incredible camp community and experience the beauty of 600 acres through teaching the creation story, caring for animals, and the shocking science of a van de graaff generator! We would love to have you come work with us as we impact the lives of children and youth with the gospel. Step away from day to day, develop valuable skills and be a part of an incredible community of peers and mentors.
