Job title: Campus Community Coordinator

Position Summary: Relationally impacts summer staff and year-round employees through facilitating and training. This position provides summer staff with onsite oversight and creates programs to spiritually enrich both summer and year-round employees during their time of employment with Sandy Cove Ministries.

General Purpose: To assist in recruiting summer staff and year-round employees as well as providing on-campus leadership to the Sandy Cove Summer Staff. Oversee Sandy Cove Ministries summer staff experience by building a healthy community through relationships, mentorship, facilitating experiences for spiritual development and coordinating fun activities so that they may connect with God and each other while working at Sandy Cove and in turn impact our guests.

Role Qualifications:
Personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Must be committed to the mission of Sandy Cove Ministries
Prior program and/or event coordination experience
Must enjoy working with youth and young adults
Must be at least 23 years of age or older
Must live on campus/ Sandy Cove property between Memorial Day to Labor Day

Position Responsibilities:
(If needed) learn the culture of Sandy Cove and summer program schedule
Weekly team meeting with Human Resources Manager
Summer Family Camp Recruitment:In partnership with the Human Resources Manager, identify recruiting opportunities (i.e. camp fares, college camp days, local church events) and sign up, secure space, create a presence with the help of the Communications team to advertise applying to work at Sandy Cove.
Create social media campaigns to engage potential staff and get them to apply for Sandy Cove Summer Staff.
Engages with former summer staff to stay in conversation about their return.
Communicate regularly with Human Resources Manager to identify where the needs are and focus on getting all needed positions filled.

Summer Staff:
Participates in leading and facilitating the all-summer staff orientation in June
Cultivates relationships with all summer employees along with Summer Staff Team Counselors to foster a healthy and safe environment where employees can grow personally and spiritually.
Creates or facilitates bible study, small group prayer times and worship opportunities for staff to grow in their relationship with God.
Helps foster a sense of community among all summer staff across department “lines” by organizing fun social activities and effectively communicating events throughout summer.
Ensures that summer staff are held accountable to all Sandy Cove rules and policies (ex: curfew, cabin inspections to encourage cleanliness).
Helps those in need of adjusting to new living situation and work assignments.
Is available or readily contacted for staff in event of crisis
Performs any other reasonable request as assigned.

Year-Round Staff:
Contributes to building a healthy work culture and atmosphere by organizing and leading staff bible studies in the fall, winter and spring.
Assists in creating and leading appropriate staff trainings on a variety of topics (health & wellness, financial literacy, etc.)
Coordinate and schedule Team Tag In weekly staff meetings
Help to create and facilitate any on-site internship programs
Cross train to be able to jump in to a variety of positions to assist as needed.
Essential skills and experience:
Excellent social, communication and relational skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and takes initiative
Proven ability to work with people from many diverse backgrounds
Ability to lead others and encourage all to be involved in social activities
Creative
Ability to work well in a team environment
Prior youth ministry work experience

Nonessential skills and experience:
Experience working in Not-for-Profit camps or conference centers
Ability to lead worship (preferred but not necessary)
