Activities Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Have a sincere love for Jesus and a burning desire to see others come to know and grow in Him.
-Demonstrates a consistent walk with Christ.
-Eager to know and love on the guest of this ministry as part of fulfilling the mission and vision of SCCC.
-Flexible and willing to work with all staff, guest, agencies, etc.
-A desire and passion to work in adventure based programming as part of SCCC.
-Be able to express a contagious passion for Christian camping and related ministries.
-Demonstrates wisdom and discernment in decisions affecting personal and corporate safety.
-Experience and immersion in Camp operations or related fields. Associates degree in relevant field desirable. Experience may substitute for education.
-Certifications in: Wilderness First Aid and CPR or equivalent, ACCT level 1, NRA RSO, ATV Safety or be able to obtain these within the first year.
-Must be able to live onsite and work in a rugged mountain setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for seeking the Father's heart and will with regard to overall direction and development of programming at Sacramento and assisting the Site Manager in other areas as needed. Areas of responsibility are to include stewardship over the safety and wellbeing of the guests and employees of this ministry.

Specific responsibilities include:
-Prayer and study directed at discerning the Father's heart and will with regard to ministry programming issues at Sacramento.
-Responsible for the Programming aspect of Sacramento including scheduling and organization of all related projects and work orders. These responsibilities include:
-Coordinating with all groups requesting activities to schedule the requested activities.
-Ensuring all equipment is in good and working order through regular inspections and repair / replacement.
-Responsible for the initial and continual training of staff as related to the safe operation of all activities.
-Responsible for the development, implantation and continual evaluation of our Local Operating Procedures.
-As funds allow will implement and market first-class adventure programming available for guests, churches, schools, business, government and other non-profit organizations. This includes assisting in grant writing and fundraising for your area of responsibility.
-Work with Conference Camping as related to activities:
-To strengthen ties with camp directors/deans hosting camps at Sacramento.
-Be available to lead seminars and/or other programming components for camps as needed and requested.
-Assist with the development and oversight of programming ministries to strengthen and renew area laypersons, youth, children, youth workers and clergy. These ministries could include:
-Renewal weekends and retreats;
-Assist in coordination of opportunities for adventure experiences originating out of Sacramento
-Assist with coordination of Volunteer Work Groups
-Assist in the responsibilities as related to stewardship over the safety and wellbeing of the guests and employees of this ministry by working with the following organizations:
-State Compliance: CID, NAARSO, DOH
-Federal Regulations: DOL, OSHA
-Private Regulations: ACCT, ACA, CCCA, Safe Sanctuaries, Insurance

Responsibilities include support of all other related areas of this camp and retreat ministry.
